First Orthodontic Visit – All Kids

Congratulations! By deciding to pursue orthodontic treatment for your child or yourself, you’ve decided to invest in a lifetime of healthy teeth that make up a beautiful smile. We’ll begin your time with us by giving you a complimentary orthodontic consultation. During this consultation, our staff will get to know you and what you want from treatment. We’ll review your dental and medical records, perform a thorough examination of your face, teeth and jaw, take photographs and 3D models, discuss alternatives to braces and figure out the most cost-effective plan for you and your family. To request a complimentary consulation, contact us here. Placing the orthodontic appliance After our orthodontist determines the best course of action for you or your child, he will place an orthodontic appliance (such as braces, clear ceramic braces, lingual braces, expanders, etc.) The procedure usually lasts between an hour and half and hour and marks the beginning of treatment. Adjustment visits usually last about 20 minutes. Follow-up appointments Adjustments are usually spaced between four to eight weeks apart. We perform adjustment visits to check on the progress of the treatment and to make sure the appliance isn’t damaged in any way. Office policies In order for treatment to be successful, we ask all patients to: Keep all scheduled appointments and notify the office within 48 hours if you cannot keep one for any reason Maintain good oral hygiene and visit regularly with your general dentist (If your family does not have one, we can help you find one that suits your family’s needs) Keep your appliances in good shape Eliminating food and drink that can damage or distort your appliances Reporting loss or damage to your orthodontic appliances as soon as possible We reserve the right to discontinue treatment due to poor patient cooperation.
Our orthodontist accepts Medical Card (Public Aid, Medicaid, All Kids insurance) for braces treatment. -Your Chicagoland Orthodontist Dr. Yarmolyuk and his team-
